Brightline coming to Orlando

South Florida’s newest high speed train system, Brightline, which began operation in 2018, has expanded further north throughout 2022, and is set to open their first station in Orlando in the second quarter of 2023, potentially as early as March. This station will be located as part of expansion of Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO), and a second location is planned to expand the rail system closer to the convention center and International Drive area, and will link to the existing Sunrail system already present in the greater Orlando area.

While the exact location for the second Orlando Brightline station has not been announced yet, we are expecting that it will be very close to The Addison at Universal Boulevard, allowing residents quick access to Orlando International Airport, as well South Florida and in the future, Tampa. The Brightline will allow passengers to travel from Orlando to Miami at 125mph, with arrival times a little over 3 hours, and is expected to expand into the Tampa area next.
