Join them for a night of remembrance and celebration of the contributions of Black culture in the arts as they commemorate Juneteenth, the historic national holiday that marks the end of slavery in the United States. Facets of Freedom 2023 will take place on June 19th, 2023 at the Renaissance Theatre Company, starting at 7 pm.
They will have musical performances, dance, and spoken word that showcase the richness of African American artistry and the resilience of their community. In addition, they will have a visual art exhibit featuring Black Central Florida artists, giving you an opportunity to appreciate their unique talents and perspectives as well as purchase local Black artwork.
Don’t miss the special performance from Rize Step Team, a group of talented young performers who use dance to inspire and uplift. They will also have performances from a selection of local artists who are passionate about celebrating the legacy of Juneteenth.
